The Freelance Star Article!
Robyn was interviewed by a reporter and photographed by a staff photographer for the article titled "Stafford Artists Draw Inspiration from Horses - Pony Up the Creativity" which was run in the Life Section of The Freelance Star on 3 April 2006. Sadly, none of the photographs made it into the paper, however, Robyn is thrilled to have been approached by the paper and for the resulting publicity from the article. Warmest congratulations to the proud new owners of the "Dan" and "Deacon" watercolor equine portraits. Robyn completed them just prior to Christmas, in plenty of time for wrapping up under the Christmas tree for their new owners. These two lovely portraits have been added to the gallery! November 2005 was an exciting month for Robyn! In addition to getting busy on several commisions following her October show, Robyn has significantly expanded her working and display space at the Blue Door Studio. Painter studio-mate, Jane Woodworth, has moved her studio to nearby Liberty Town spaces and will be sorely missed! Robyn looks forward to hosting visitors at the studio who will be able to enjoy not only works in process but display of finished works as well. Contact Robyn to schedule a studio visit, she looks forward to meeting with you!
* December 2005 -New Commissioned Works Complete!
In addition, Robyn has two more commissioned works underway. One is for a painting of a cantering silhouetted horse interwoven with patterns of circles, similar to the painting "Tri-Volte Trot" in the gallery. The other is for a watercolor portrait of a gorgeous german shepard.

* November 2005 -"Equine Shapes" & Other Recent Work
5 - 30 October 2005
Robyn's October 2005 solo exhibition of her most recent work at the Atrium Art Gallery, located at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library (CRRL) in downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia, was a huge success.
This exhibition featured Robyn's recent exploration into bold and colorful equine shapes which express the joy and strength horses represent to her. In addition, other recent work from Robyn's "Pond Series" were also on display.
The closing reception included display of additional paintings and sculptures for visitors to enjoy in addition to the hanging show. Several paintings sold and multiple commisions resulted from a wonderful turn-out at the 28 October reception. The food and warm atmosphere made it a lovely evening for all who came.
Thanks to all for the incredible support and for making this a lovely show.
